It was a beautiful fall Saturday here in Raleigh. The weather was a sunny 76 degree day and it was perfect to go out downtown for a few hours to enjoy the beautiful day.
We first went to Fred Fletcher Park which is located right outside of downtown Raleigh and is also where we had our wedding. I think that it’s one of the most beautiful places to visit in Raleigh and I was so happy to go visit, especially in the fall.
The leaves were so beautiful with their different shades of yellow, orange and red. And there were beautiful flowers still in bloom too. If you live in or around Raleigh I highly recommend going here at least once.
After visiting the park we went into downtown to get some lunch. We decided to go to Brewery Bhavana because we have not been there yet and it was on our list of places to eventually visit. The thing about Brewery Bhavana is that it was on Forbes 2018 top ten coolest places to eat and the wait list took weeks to get a reservation (back in 2018). So we wanted to wait until all of the hype died down to get in there.
This place was definitely worth seeing as they are not only a restaurant, but also a brewery, bookstore and flower shop.
The food there was excellent too. I had the chicken lo mein and although this a pretty common dish to find at any asian inspired restaurant, this lo mein was absolutely delicious. All of their food looked and smelled amazing, so I don’t doubt that we may visit here again.
After lunch we took a walk over to Lucette Grace, ironic since I just blogged about them yesterday. But, we decided that we wanted a coffee and dessert after lunch and this is our favorite place to do just that. We got their raspberry cheesecake and a flourless chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse and a vanilla chantilly. Both desserts were delicious, but that cheesecake was simply the best.
After that we just walked around downtown visiting a few shops and enjoying the beautiful day.
I hope you enjoyed visiting downtown Raleigh with me today. Some days are just perfect to be outside and today was one of those days. Where will you come with me next week? Who knows, so check back next Saturday!
