Christmas at Biltmore, it is such a beautiful time of year to visit. They really go all out with all the Christmas trees, lights and ornaments decorated throughout the house. It was enough to put my Christmas mood into overdrive. If you have never heard of The Biltmore then let me give you a little history. The Biltmore Estate was built by George Washington Vanderbilt II in Asheville, NC between 1889 and 1895 and is the largest privately owned house in the United States. The house is 178,926 sq. feet with 250 room including 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces, 3 kitchens as well as an indoor pool and bowling alley. Awe inspiring is an understatement.
We arrived early to Biltmore and enjoyed our time with a latte while walking around the shops which were all decorated for Christmas too.
But when we got into the house, that is when the real Christmas magic began. There were so many lit up trees throughout the estate. Each room was beautifully decorated and adorned for Christmas. So sit back with a hot cup of coffee or mocha and enjoy all of the pretty Christmas lights.
I hope you enjoyed a little look into the Biltmore Christmas. We had a fun time wandering around this beautiful house with all of its old world charm mixed in with the holidays. Can I just put my Christmas tree up now? Only a few more weeks!
