I admit it, every time I see a beautiful coffee station I just swoon. Besides water, coffee is really the only other thing I drink on a regular basis, so I love having and decorating a cute coffee station and is there any better time than Christmas to decorate anything?
Although there are so many cute things that I could add to my coffee station, I still try to keep it neat, simple and clear of clutter. Therefore I keep out only what I use most this time of year and just a few simple decor pieces.
+The Essentials – Although I have all of the christmastime coffee accoutrements such as colorful straws, marshmallows, chocolates for coffee, etc. I still only keep just a few things that I use most which is basically the Starbucks Peppermint Hot Cocoa mix (for the peppermint mochas) and coffee pods. Right now I keep a regular brewed coffee and peppermint bark coffee pods.
+Festive Cups – What is Christmas without some festive holiday cups? I have a few from Anthropologie and Starbucks, but I only keep a few out on the coffee station so as to not create visual clutter. Otherwise it would probably look like I sale cups for a living!
+Simple Decor – It is Christmas after all, so I wanted something Christmasy to be displayed on the coffee station which is where this pretty lit up Christmas Tree came into place. I got this piece at Marshall’s and I simply love the color and simplicity of it. For me it’s the centerpiece that brings the look together.
+Plaid Details – Fall and winter brings out all of the paid details for me, so it’s no surprise that I use them even for a coffee station. I have a pretty plaid table cloth as well as a plaid placemat on the coffee tray. There is something so festive about plaid this time of year and I enjoy the pretty visual effect it has for decorating.
So when I brew a cup of coffee everyday it’s like doing so in my own Christmas winter wonderland each morning. I love decorating the house this time of year, but I think besides the Christmas tree itself that the coffee station is my favorite place to spruce up. Are there any areas of your home that is your favorite place to decorate this time of year?
