Today’s weekly snaps is coming at you a little later than usual, but at least I got it up! This week has been a little busy with getting ready for Christmas and all of the activities that it involves. Tonight I am relaxing by the Christmas tree with an espresso paired with a chocolate peppermint spoon that a dear friend got for me and of course blogging about the week. Later tonight I am going to take a hot shower and try out this Frosty hydrating snowman mask that I got from Target.
Last Sunday we did our annual white elephant Christmas party with our group of friends. I took advantage and dressed up a little and wore my cozy sweater that I got from Anthropologie a couple of months ago.
The party was early this year starting at 3:00 and ending at 6:00, so after we got home I made a homemade hot chocolate, lit a fire and watched Home Alone 2. It was one of those cozy nights that you wished would never end.
Monday morning came and it was cold outside, and foggy too. It was actually kind of a peaceful drive that morning.
I was kind of excited to go to work because I ordered a new bag to carry my lunch in from Modern Picnic and I loved packing it that morning. I got the blush color since I have a black work bag. This new lunch bag is great quality and very sophisticated…it was one of the things that I ordered on Cyber Monday.
We also have our little corner of the office decorated for Christmas which is giving me life each morning.
The cloudy cold morning turned into a cloudy cold afternoon. But it didn’t stop me from walking around and making my way to Starbucks for an afternoon coffee. I will miss seeing that big Christmas tree in the square. Although it was cold outside I really wanted an iced coffee, so that’s what I got.
One perk of my job is all the goodies we get from vendors and other bankers. We have gotten so many treats, but none as pretty as these iced sugar cookies. It was almost too pretty to eat…almost.
Thursday was a warmer day, but it was crazy windy outside. My poor hair was a static mess all day long! Oh well, you can’t fight nature!
It rained all day on Friday. And when I say all day, I mean it rained all morning, afternoon and into the night without stopping. I enjoy a good rainy day and luckily I got to work from home on Friday, so I wasn’t complaining. I basically cozied up with some coffee and enjoyed being a home body.
Sunday morning I went to Trader Joe’s and did the weekly grocery shopping. It was busy today too, but luckily I got in and out pretty easily.
Later that afternoon I went over to a friend’s new place that she will be moving into at the end of the month to check it out and helped her clean a little. It was such a cute townhouse full of sunlight and just so charming. But first, we stopped off for a coffee at Caribou and of course they have the cutest holiday mugs! I’ll try to not buy anymore, but no promises.
I can’t believe that we are only 10 days away from Christmas! It came so fast. I will be working only until Thursday and then will be off for a few days from work, so I am looking forward to a little down time and doing all the Christmas things. I hope you all are enjoying your holiday this year and if you’d like, tell me what you have been doing to celebrate!
