We are only 14 days away from the official start of Spring, but that doesn’t mean that I am not out here living my best spring life already! Time has officially sprung forward, so we will now be getting more daylight which I am very excited about. The flowers are starting to bloom and the temperatures are slowly creeping up and I have been getting out as much as possible to enjoy it. Here are some of things that I have been doing to get into the spring spirit…so far.
One place that I love to visit to be outdoors is the North Carolina Museum of Art. There is always something to see and do there and the pink flowers blooming on the trees is nothing short of magical this time of year.
Visiting a few local restaurants is always a great way to get out too. We have been to Raleigh Times, Viva Mexican Kitchen, Torii Noodle Bar and Simply Crepes. Having a meal and fun conversation is one of my favorite things to do. I am self professed foodie, so you will always win me over with a good meal.
I have also been enjoying the sunsets in the afternoon. They are always so beautiful and make the afternoon commute a little more beautiful. Now that time has sprung forward I will not get to see them again until next year, but I enjoyed them very much for the past few weeks.
And of course I have been adding some spring pieces to my wardrobe. I have also been looking at accessories too and like checking out Clothes Mentor for gently used items.
Speaking of shopping, I also got a few new spring scented candles for the home too. I am obsessed with candles, so I couldn’t wait to get some fresh and floral scents to bring home for the season.
There are two things that absolutely means spring to me, rainy days and iced coffees. So far I have been enjoying both these past few weeks and can’t wait to enjoy even more.
And lastly, when the sun is shining and it’s a beautiful weekend we love to go out to downtown Raleigh. Always full of things to see and do, we love visiting the shops, museums and coffee houses. There’s just something about parking your car and walking around to see what you will find. I love going on these little adventures and am looking forward to more as the weather gets even warmer.
Spring for me is a time of renewal, flowers and more sunshine. I have been ready for spring for a long time and am looking forward to being out more this season. What are looking forward to this season?
