Back when life was normal and I had a 30 minute commute to and from work every weekday, I used to love to put on a French inspired podcast to listen to. Podcasts are a fun and informative way to pass the time whether you are driving, taking a walk or enjoying a coffee on a Sunday afternoon. It should come as no surprise that I especially enjoy a good Francophile podcast too. Even though I am currently not doing my daily commute, I still make time to listen to my favorite podcasts during the week. I like to enjoy a podcast when I take an afternoon walk after lunch or while enjoying a coffee on the weekend.
The first podcast that I ever tuned into was The Simple Sophisticate which is produced by The Simply Luxurious Life blog. I found Shannon Able’s blog years ago when I was discovering more about the French lifestyle back in 2013 and I was simply delighted when she decided to start her podcast back in 2014. I have been listening ever since that first episode and have discovered so many more French inspired podcasts since then. If you are an unabashed Francophile too, then here are eight French inspired living podcasts you should listen to.
1.) French Kiss Life – I simply adore Tonya Leigh her French inspired living podcast. Tonya is a master life coach with a focus on living well and artfully in your everyday life. She tries to inspire a life of style and joie de vivre. She touches on everything from French living, to mindset and celebrating the everyday. Favorite Episode: 27 Ways To Cultivate A Paris State of Mind.
2.) The New Paris – A podcast created by the author of the book “The New Paris”, Lindsey Tramuta, this podcast explores the new traditions and way of life in Paris. However, Lindsey takes a look at the people, places and ideas that are changing Paris today. Favorite Episode: On Evolving Style and Designing in Paris.
3.) The Land of Desire – A podcast that delves into the history of France in such a delightful way. A podcast ran by Diana Stegall who tells the stories of France in a way that will hook you from the beginning until the very end of each story. I have sat in my car for long periods of time after I got home from work just to finish an episode. The stories are intriguing, detailed and sometimes crazy. Definitely one to check out if you are into French history. Favorite Episode: Women At War: Coco Chanel.

This podcast has two hosts, Sara Bertilsson and Stefan de Vries as they talk about the current state of affairs in France and also has some side bars about the things that the French people are taking an interest in.
