Another weekend of exploring Jacksonville a little was on my to do list this past Saturday and I was delighted to get out and take my time strolling the cute and quaint San Marco shopping area. Just a five minute walk from my house, I knew this would be a fun a little area to explore close to home. It was a rainy and windy day due to the nor’easter that came through, so I was delighted to wear a light sweater and get my first hot coffee at the Starbucks since being in Jacksonville.
The San Marco shopping area has a little bit of everything from a chocolate shop, boutiques, a book store, restaurants, coffee, an art gallery and more. They also have a little park square in between the two sides of the shopping area that is nothing short of charming.
I made my way into some of the shops to look around visiting a boutique, luxury consignment store and book store to name a few.
The book store is an independent store with a mix of new and used books alike. They also have little things like greeting cards, candles, etc. It is a fun store to get lost in, especially if you love books.
Next I visited a little clothing boutique as well as a luxury consignment shop. If you love luxury products then this is the place to go! Everything from Chloe, Jimmy Choo, Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes (and more) was in this store. It was a pretty big store too and was just a cozy kind of place to visit on a rainy day.
There is also a little movie theater that I can’t wait to try out. Although they are open for business, I am not ready to sit in a movie theater due to coronavirus. But I have heard that it is a nice little theater where you can order food and even bring your own wine. They also play classic hits as they recently played The Goonies for a special anniversary.
To say that I love that this little area that is within a five minute walk of my house would be an understatement. I love how this is an older and charming little shopping center that has a variety of cute stores to visit on a weekend where you just want to get out of the house for a little while. There are still so many things that I want to do and see in Jacksonville and I can’t wait to do them and share them here on the blog.
You know what these photos remind me of? A Hallmark movie. I love how sweet and quaint your town looks! And that theatre is gorgeous (that gold!).
That is so true! Now that you mention it…it does look like a Hallmark movie! This little area is super cute and quaint which I love. Believe it or not though Jacksonville is the largest city in the U.S. (by land mass), but they have these little areas carved out everywhere which makes it feel like a small town vibe which I love! I can’t wait to get out and explore some more cute areas and to share them here on the blog.
