You know what I love about three day holiday weekends? Shopping the sales! In Raleigh we had a traditional indoor mall, so while I could go shopping I also kept my mask on the whole time and did not indulge in a coffee because I did not want to remove the mask at all to drink it. The mall in Jacksonville however is an outdoor mall, so here I can get a coffee and drink it in between visiting stores.
I also love going on a Monday because there are no crowds too. This past Monday was Columbus Day and it is a day that I get off due to working at a bank, but not many others get off. I always take a advantage and go shopping to check out the fall styles as well as getting a few things for myself.
The first place I stopped into was Sephora because I needed more dry shampoo and also picked up a bottle of Caudalie’s Beauty Elixer facial spray. Sephora is one of those places that you can just get lost in for hours just looking at all of the great beauty products they have.
After Sephora I stopped in to the Starbucks and ordered a tall iced latte to walk around with in between store visits.
It was a cloudy day, so it was nice to be out even though it was like 80 degrees. The Towne Center is laid out nicely and it makes for a pretty walk with all of the plants and palm trees scattered around.
I always have fun looking at the different styles and trends in the stores. Some of my favorite stores that I always visit are Abercrombie, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Loft, J. Crew and Madewell.
I spent a good two hours walking around the stores and walked the equivalent of 2 miles, so I also got some physical activity in too #shoppingismycardio!
In the end I got one navy and white printed shirt from Ann Taylor, a super soft graphic tee from J. Crew and of course the dry shampoo and facial spray from Sephora. It was a fun Monday trip by myself and I enjoyed walking around the uncrowded mall with an iced coffee.
