For me, the only thing better than a beauty product is a French beauty product. I loved visiting the French pharmacies while visiting Paris back in 2018. Full of beautiful and amazing French products for any skin ailment, what wasn’t there to love?
I don’t think it’s a secret here that I am a bit of a Francophile, so trying French products is a simple pleasure of mine. What I love about these products is that I am able to get them here in the States with ease. They have all been tried and used over and over, so I know I love them. Some of them are unscented like the face wash, hand cream, serum and lip balm…but the others smell so pleasant that it is very much a part of the experience of using them. I have tried many different products and these are the ones I keep coming back to.
Avene
I think this is one of the first French beauty products that I tried and loved. Their products truly work and are beloved by the French. They feel so good on the skin and has this light scent that adds to the pleasure of using them. I have used many of their products, but I love their Riche Facial Moisturizer which I use at night and their Cold Cream Hand Cream that I use throughout the day. You can get their products online at their main site avene.com and I also get their products at walgreens.com
Bioderma, Caudalie and Vichy
Three great brands and all worth the investment. I love Bioderma’s lip balm and they also make an amazing Micellar Water too. The lip balm is so soft and silky on my lips and is great especially for the hot Floirda weather. I get this product on Walgreens web site. Caudalie is also a great brand too. Known for their more natural skincare products and delicious scent, I simply love them. I love their face masks and this one pictured is a great one to use because you can wear it overnight and your skin is just glowing by the next morning. I get their products from caudalie.com or from Sephora. And then there is Vichy. Named after the original spa town in France, their products deliver that same spa-like quality one can expect. Right now I have their Vitamin C serum, but am looking forward to trying more products in the near future. I pick up Vichy products from Target or Ulta.
Laroche-Posay
Another great brand that you can find at places like Target and Ulta is Laroche-Posay. Their products are very gentle on skin so it’s great if you have sensitive skin. My skin can be easily irritated, so I am grateful for this brand and how gentle it is. I get their unscented face wash from Target and this one bottle costs just around $15 and lasts for a long time.
Nuxe
And lastly, the one and only…Nuxe Hair and Body Oil. I originally bought a bottle of this in Paris at the pharmacy and have been in love ever since. You can use this light oil on your skin and/or hair for a lush summery scent and glow. I like to add a little spray into my body lotion after sun exposure or to my hair after a beach day. I have also used their perfume of the same scent and it was just a gorgeous scent. You can find this product on amazon or at allbeauty.com
My love affair for all things French continues on! I love sharing these beautiful things here on the blog and French beauty products is one that I have been wanting to do for awhile.
I hope to try out more in the future, but sometimes a product is just so good that I keep going back to it rather trying a new one. I love the quality and the thoughtful touches that each of these brands have put into these. They are truly a petit plaisir!
