I think one of the most important things to me when looking at a town to live in is their coffee houses. I love not only a good coffee, but I also love the look and feel of a good coffee house. You can’t help but to get that cozy feeling in a quaint place with smell of fresh brewed coffee in the air and good music playing through the speakers. And if they have some food on offer, even better.
While I love photographing the inside of a coffee house, it is very hard to do right now with covid as I try to limit my exposure to public indoor spaces. Luckily though Southern Grounds has outdoor space to sit and relax which is safer and with this beautiful sunny Florida weather, how can you not take advantage?
We also enjoy their food too. It’s nice to go get a little lunch and a coffee on a nice day here in Jacksonville. We have had their lunch, pastries and even desserts. Everything has been delicious and worth trying.
But obviously the star of the show is the coffee. Whether you get it iced or hot, the coffee never disappoints. They also have a good list of flavors that you can add as well as seasonal flavors too. I, myself enjoy a good iced latte, but on occasion I may try a flavor or two.
And if you happen to be at the Southern Grounds in San Marco then I highly suggest sitting outside in the back as there is a great view of downtown in the background.
